Benefits of Membership

The Montgomery County Bar Association has held over 300 active members for years. Membership gets you access to unmatched benefits.

Here are a few examples of what your MCBA dues did for you and the local community in 2023:

MCBA membership runs with the calendar year. It is valid from January 1 to December 31. A membership application completed in December will be understood to cover the upcoming membership year. If a membership application is completed before December 1, it will cover membership for the current membership year. That member must re-apply for the following membership year.

Family Law Section

The MCBA’s Family Law Section also hosts its own CLE’s and events. You must specifically join the section to receive these benefits. To join the Section, you must elect to join and submit an additional $25.

Renewing your Membership Online

If you were a member of MCBA in the previous calendar year, then you will first need to login to renew online. You can login to this page by entering your username and password at the top right-hand corner. If you forgot your password, then please CLICK THIS LINK to reset your password.

Once you login to the website, you have full control over your directory profile, including your privacy settings.  This allows you to easily maintain your profile with your current contact information.

Joining as a New Member

To join as a new member, simply complete the form below and click submit to make your $75.00 payment.

Applying via Mail

All new and renewing members are encouraged to enroll and renew through the website because this gives you an opportunity to be in control of your MCBA directory profile. If, however, you prefer to apply via mail, please complete the Application for Membership Form and mail your $75.00 payment to PO BOX 3561, Conroe, TX 77305.

For questions concerning membership, please contact mocobarprez@gmail.com

Application Processing Timeline

Please allow 7 days from receipt for us to process an online application. Mailed applications may take up to 14 days from receipt to process. During December, January and February, please allow 21 days from receipt.

Courthouse Badge

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office issues courthouse access badges, while the MCBA provides a letter of good standing required to the MCSO to get your badge. Once we have processed your application (see processing timelines above), we will e-mail you a letter of good standing and instructions on the MCSO’s process to secure your badge.
